BETH LIEBERMAN

Beth Lieberman has spent 15 years on the other side of the desk, that is, acquiring, editing, and publishing books. Her editorial apprenticeship began at Warner Books in NYC, where she spent four years. During that time she acquired and edited 125 novels and nonfiction books on psychology, science, business, and lifestyle. Following that, Beth joined Kensington Publishing where she acquired and edited 200 novels. In 1994, Beth moved to Los Angeles where she served as Kensington's director of west coast acquisitions for one year. She then joined the editorial team of Dove Books & Audio and became Editorial Director when that company transformed itself into NewStar Media. When NewStar added an Internet Services division, Beth served as a key member of the launch team and director of content for the company's e-commerce site.

Titles that Beth has worked on include: Gift of Gold and Gift of Fire by Jayne Ann Krentz (New York Times bestsellers), Cooking Without Recipes by Cheryl Sindell, and Journal to the Self: Journal Writing as a Therapeutic Tool by Kathleen Adams. Beth enjoys bringing her industry experience to her work editing and coaching writers.

OUR SUCCESS STORIES
literary management Jesse Ventura - We worked with him to find the "mythic substructure" of his life adventure culminating in being elected governor of Minnesota - and built the book, which became a New York Times bestseller, around the "Labors of Hercules."
literary management Steve Alten - After a few months' work with Writer's Lifeline, he went from being broke to having a million dollar studio deal, and a two million dollar book deal to launch his career as a New York Times bestseller.
literary management John Scott Shepherd - He wanted to write it as a screenplay, but we advised him to do the novel first--and it sold in manuscript for $1.6 million to New Line Cinema.
