The Writers Lifeline

CHRIS MOMENEE
writers lifeline

Having written nearly twenty screenplays, with a half-dozen sales and options, Chris Momenee offers solid experience in the do's and don't's of screenwriting. Having also served as an editor in the publishing field, Chris applies those same tools to his work in both fiction and nonfiction projects.

Chris earned a Bachelor's degree in English composition and French at Beloit College in 1983. He received a Master's degree in French literature from Indiana University in 1991, and an MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University in 1993.

MGM is currently developing his screenplay "Godspeed, Lawrence Mann," a fantasy-drama written with Gary Nadeau. He is presently combining his two loves of French and English in The French Teacher, a novel-in-progress.

Born and raised in Ohio, Momenee now lives in Greenwich Village in New York City.

OUR SUCCESS STORIES
literary management Jesse Ventura - We worked with him to find the "mythic substructure" of his life adventure culminating in being elected governor of Minnesota - and built the book, which became a New York Times bestseller, around the "Labors of Hercules."
literary management Steve Alten - After a few months' work with Writer's Lifeline, he went from being broke to having a million dollar studio deal, and a two million dollar book deal to launch his career as a New York Times bestseller.
literary management John Scott Shepherd - He wanted to write it as a screenplay, but we advised him to do the novel first--and it sold in manuscript for $1.6 million to New Line Cinema.
