Rick Shagoury grew up in Boston and currently resides in southern New Hampshire. He studied illustration history and techniques at Syracuse University, learning from world-renowned artists such as Murray Tinkelman, James Ransome, Craig Yoe, and John Thompson.

Rick has worked as an illustrator, graphic designer, web designer, painting instructor, metalsmith, comic strip artist, and photographer, both during and after his college career. His most recently completed project was a series of cartoon icons to be used for a humorous instructional book on personal finance.

He is currently immersed in a series of pinup-girl paintings to be used in a 12-month calendar. More of Rick's work and interests can be seen at www.illustratology.com.
